WEEKEND UPDATE: Pinehurst Triathlon, Blue Ridge Half Marathon, NDA High School Dance Nationals

WHOOP! It’s been a while since I’ve been able to post any weekend updates and do I have a good one right now! We had racers in North Carolina and Virginia, and dancers in Florida and I’m happy to report on all of it!

Pinehurst Triathlon

Missy and Shannon were able to FINALLY get a race in after so many cancellations and they started the year right with the Pinehurst Olympic Triathlon in NC. They were both so happy to race again, even in cold water and windy, chilly conditions. They both had a great first race and I’m looking forward to seeing what they can do next. Next up is the Blue Ridge 70.3 triathlon and I know they are excited.

Blue Ridge Half Marathon

Merridee did NOT disappoint at the Blue Ridge this weekend! It’s a super tough race with LOTS of steep hills and she still managed to win her AG as a flat-lander! She’s come back from injury and we have been uncertain about her race goals this year but I do believe we are on the right track. Great job to her and I am looking forward to her racing the Myrtle Beach Marathon in 2 weeks (or half if we decide she’s too hurt- but she’s pretty stubborn so I’m thinking the full still).

I can take NO credit for this other than I birthed one of them but my mini and her dance team came home as National Champions in the Large Varsity Pom Division at NDA High School Dance Nationals in Orlando, Florida. To say I am a super proud dance mom is a complete understatement! I am sad the season is over but the girls worked so hard this year and are now going to enjoy a well deserved break. Love these girls!
