Weekend Update: Lake Logan, Copper Triangle, Pan Mass Challenge

kelseylaurenWe had 4 of our amazing ladies do some epic shit this weekend.

Tracey took to the Lake Logan 70.3 this weekend, pictured here with another Team AMEC badass, Missy, who played cheerleader today.  This was Tracey’s second mountainous half iron distance race and she did great: shaving 48 minutes off her overall time- 37 of those minutes on her bike split.

Lauren and Kelsey tackled the Copper Triangle for the 3rd year in a row.   This is a 78 mile ride of 6000 feet of climbing that crosses 3 of the major mountain passes of Colorado. They finished in just under 6 hours.  These ladies are now gearing up for Austin 70.3  and I would say they have the bike leg covered now.

And finally, Melissa crushed the Pan Mass Challenge: 2 days of riding where she covered 110 miles on Saturday and 80 on Sunday.  The most amazing part of this is that she didn’t even own a bike 8 months ago!  She has worked so hard and I am very happy for her.  I hope she’ll come up with something else epic soon.  Her husband, Rick, is also a Team AMEC peep and is preparing for IM Louisville in October.
